Channeling the ball down up and down the rods or successfully dropping it into a bucket, with 4 people holding different ends of the sticks, is a challenge that takes communication and coordination. Increase the challenge by practicing with a small ball and moving to a larger one.
REQUIRES: 2 poles; 1 ball, vessel (box or waste basket to catch the ball – not provided)
TIME: 15+ minutes
PLAYERS: 4
DESCRIPTION: Players need to roll the ball down the track and drop into a box or pail.
SET UP: Ask each of four players to hold the end of one pole with one finger. Let them know neither their bodies nor hands should touch each other at all.
INSTRUCTIONS: Tell players that they need to accumulate as many points as they can. Points are earned by rolling the ball down the track and dropping it into the vessel below. The team will get a point each time the ball hits its mark. The ball may be placed at the start of either side of the track.
